Turkey UK 3DI: 3D Printing & Digital Innovation Project – THE Awards Asia 2024 Success

Our British Council supported Turkey UK 3DI: 3D Printing & Digital Innovation project, carried out by Marmara University Centre for Nanotechnology & Biomaterials Application and Research and University College London, has been selected from more than 600 entries and has been selected as a finalist in the “Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2024 /Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year” category.

The THE Awards were a regular feature of the UK higher education calendar for 14 years before they brought this distinguished event overseas for the first time in 2019. These days, many refer to them as the “Oscars of higher education”. These awards provide a significant worldwide forum for recognizing exceptional institutional performance and leadership while also honoring the best in higher education across the continent. Commenting on this year’s competition, THE’s head of global affairs Phil Baty said the 2024 shortlist was “full of brilliance and innovation across the 10 category fields, and everyone who stands out should be extremely proud to have reached the final stage”. “The Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year” category offers a major international platform to recognize outstanding leadership and institutional performance, and celebrate the continent’s higher education excellence. We congratulate the project team who contributed to our project being in the final of this important award.
